For example recently I travelled off to the small Caribbean island of Bequia to collect data as part of an MSc by Research on the phonology of the island (i.e. the sounds of the island). I’ll put up a few of my experiences involving data collection more as a mental note to myself for how to collect data and what doesn’t work so well. You have full right if not interested to put your hands in your ears and not listen if you like.
Expect this to all get much more updated in August time when my final work is submitted to the University of Edinburgh (there’s another piece right there, the risks of doing full time work at the same time as a research degree for a year…)
